DRM-protected files and rare formats such as APE are not supported. Formats browsers cannot open natively, such as AMR, WMA and AVI, use an extra decoder that downloads once. Need to edit instead of convert? Try the silence remover, volume booster, or song info editor.

Frequently asked questions

Which file formats can AudioClover convert?

MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG, OPUS, WEBM, MP4, M4V, MOV, MKV, 3GP, AVI, WMV, FLV, MPG, WMA, and AIFF can be opened. Output is MP3, uncompressed WAV, OGG (Opus), M4A, or an M4R iPhone ringtone. Files are decoded on your device and never uploaded.

Why does AVI or WMA take longer the first time?

Those legacy formats are not supported by browsers, so AudioClover downloads a decoder of about 30 MB the first time you need one. Your browser keeps it afterwards. Only the decoder is downloaded, and your file is never uploaded.

Which formats are not supported?

AMR, APE, and files protected by DRM cannot be converted yet. Convert them once in a desktop player such as VLC, or join the API list for broader support.

Is there a limit on file size or number of files?

There is no upload limit because nothing is uploaded. The practical limit is your device memory, so convert very long recordings in sections and batch large collections in groups.
